This purchase will add $39.48 to my annual income and comes with a 2.58% yield after commission. Since I wasn't planning to put more capital to work in August, I might not buy something in September. However if the markets continue to slide towards a better valuation I could always change my mind.
Nice buy. I recently added to my position in TGT and I've been eyeing WMT too. I believe both companies will keep growing for decades to come.
ReplyDeleteGood point. TGT seems like a good pick too, plus has a slightly higher yield. I don't plan to go heavy into retail, but it's hard to imagine WMT and TGT being dethroned in the foreseeable future.
DeleteNice purchase -- I've also been watching WMT recently, as well as a few other stocks that are trading at attractive valuations. However, I don't have enough cash on hand at the moment to buy anything.
ReplyDeleteThanks DGM, I always appreciate and give consideration to your thoughts!
DeleteCI - WMT is on my list also (along with GE and KO). I'm waiting to see if it gets under $70, and if it does I may buy.
ReplyDeleteI would likely have to sell to make a purchase, so being very selective on all three. Looking for GE around $21 and KO under $37. Suspect I will get shut out on all three, but time will tell.
If WMT falls under 70, I may be joining you for an additional purchase. I think for my next purchase I'd be most interested in a company from a different sector however. Perhaps a company from the industrial or healthcare sectors. I'm hoping to pick up additional ITW or BAX shares for example.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
