I wasn't very active with investing this month. I meant to do a couple posts but never got around it, sorry to anyone who reads this blog. I was able to secure my dream assignment and will heading back to states soon. I'm so excited it's hard to contain myself! Needless to say, my mind has been focused on other things. The awesome part is that most of my holdings don't need too much attention. I doubt KO or PG are going out of business anytime soon.

SBSI did a 5% stock split, but held the dividend at the same rate. The nice part here is that they round up when distributing shares. Instead of getting 3.37 shares, they sent me 4! Instant profit. Normally stock splits do nothing, but I made $14 or so with this one. Same thing last year.
Congrats on the dream assignment. Where in the states are you going to be located?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm headed to Colorado...to an airforce base! I'm from Colorado and am really looking forward to skiing with my dad!
DeleteI was wondering why you've been so quiet. You had a huge jump in income from last month. Great job. Grats on the good news.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably be quiet for the next few weeks too, have to move. However I will always post monthly recaps and purchases no matter what.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Good job on the new assignment. Another great month of dividends.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gareth!
DeleteCI,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the big change! It sounds like you're really excited. That's great, man.
Huge month of dividends. You blew me out of the water. Fantastic!
I hear you on not being active for the month. I almost didn't even purchase any stocks for the month, and I was just talking about how a dividend growth investor doesn't always need to be active to be successful. However, the drop on Friday compelled me to deploy a little capital.
Good luck on the move!
Best wishes.
Oh yeah? I'll stop by to see what you picked up. I'm ready to strike any time. I'm so ready to leave Korea. One year is more than enough, although I'm glad I had the opportunity to see more of Asia. Korea is not really a place I'd ever want to see again. Never heard of anyone vacationing here, now I know why.
DeleteCheers
I'm glad to hear you'll be back in the States -- I hope you enjoy your new assignment!
ReplyDeleteIt was a quiet month for my investing, too. However, it's nice to rake in a bunch of dividends without having to do anything.
I'm not exactly sure what I'll be doing there, but I think I'll have to get a top secret clearance. What I do at work doesn't matter because Colorado has so much to offer for my free time. Hiking, skiing, biking, the outdoor activities are endless. It's funny how we don't realize how amazing a certain part of the world is until we live elsewhere for many years.
DeleteAwesome month! Wow, almost $500 in dividends. Congrats on returning to the states! Colorado is a beautiful state and I'm sure you'll be thrilled to be back after so long!
ReplyDeleteThanks FIF. I just signed out on leave and I'm pumped! I start the trip home today!
