  1. You've had some great progress. It took you just over half of 2012 to surpass all the dividends you received in 2011. That's something I'm keeping track of too. In 2012, I'll pass my 2011 dividends received around the halfway mark as well. Probably a little earlier since I'll receive some extra dividends between now and then once I put more capital to work.

    1. 2011 was a transition year for me, I wish I had been blogging! It would be fun to look back and remember what I was thinking at the time. I put large amounts of money to work that year as I sold off my mutual funds & ETFs. Infact I used to buy in lots of $2500 because I had a lot to invest. These days I buy in chunks of $1250. If you compare the beginning of 2011 to the end it is quite drastic. I won't be able to maintain that pace, but that's okay.

The dividend reinvestments and dividend growth are starting to snowball, it's doing a lot of the work for me!

  2. Wow, your making fast progress especially in 2011 ! I hope I can see some nice increases like these soon. Your getting some really nice returns at this point, looks like your approaching $400 a month average. Great work.

    1. Thanks Cap'n. I believe my forward monthly average reached $400 a few months ago in February. This chart lags behind the forward average because of new purchases and dividend increases. I'll keep at this for many, many years to come. In the grand scheme of retirement I'm just getting started.

      Cheers!

  3. You have a really strong start to some serious dividend income for starting out so recently.Great job. You have a very solid portfolio that is not too aggressive in terms of chasing yields. You have a lot of solid aristocrats as well. Nice job.
